For the Second Sunday of Lent, Karoline Lewis reflects on the Psalmist’s longing to “dwell in the House of the Lord forever” from the Temple of Isis in Aswan, Egypt. Unlike the grand, distant temples of kings and gods, God’s house is intimate, sheltering, and near—like a mother hen gathering her chicks. This Lent, may we rest in the nearness of God, whose love is forever and always.
