Alicia Vargas is Associate Professor of Multicultural and Contextual Studies and Dean for Academic Affairs at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary of California Lutheran University, in the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA. 

Vargas’ publications include the book Como estudiar la la Biblia/How to Study the Bible and articles and book chapters, some of which are: “Mujerismo and the Two Kin-doms: Distinction and Reconciliation” in Dialog; “The Construction of Latina Theology” in Currents in Theology and Mission; “Reading Ourselves into the Cross Story. Luther and United States Latinos” in Cross Examinations: Readings on the Meaning of the Cross Today; and “Introduccion a La Disputacion de Leipzig” en Lutero al Habla

La Rev. Dra. Alicia Vargas es decana académica del Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary en Berkeley, California, y profesora asociada de estudios multiculturales y contextuales en el mismo seminario. Previamente la Dra. Vargas sirvió como capellana en cárceles en California, y antes de eso fue profesora de teatro español en St. Olaf College en Northfield, Minnesota, y en Vassar College en Poughkeepsie, New York.
