In this “Preacher to Preacher” introduction, Cody Sanders shares his journey from being a child who loved the church to his current role teaching congregational and community care leadership at Luther Seminary. As a queer Baptist, Cody understands the profound power of preaching—its ability to cause harm, but also its transformative potential to bring healing and liberation. Starting Ash Wednesday, Cody will join Karoline Lewis and Matt Skinner as a co-host of Sermon Brainwave. His goal is to offer the same community and support to fellow preachers that has sustained him in his own vocational life.
