Warren Carter is the Meinders Professor of New Testament at Phillips Theological Seminary, Tulsa Oklahoma. He has published a commentary on Mark’s Gospel (Liturgical Press, 2019) as well as on Matthew’s Gospel, Matthew and the Margins (Orbis Books, 2000). He has especially explored interactions between New Testament writings and the Roman empire (Warren Carter, The Roman Empire and the New Testament. Nashville: Abingdon, 2006).
