Biography

W. Dennis Tucker Jr. is Professor of Christian Scriptures at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University.

Most recently, Dr. Tucker co-authored with Jamie Grant Psalms, Volume 2 in the NIV Application Commentary series (2018). Other works include Constructing and Deconstructing Power in Psalms 107-150 (Atlanta: SBL Press, 2014) in which he explored the notion of power in the final book of the Psalter. Other publications include The Psalter as Witness: The Theology of the Psalter (Waco: Baylor University Press, 2017) edited with W. H. Bellinger; and Diachronic and Synchronic: Reading the Psalms in Real Time (London: T & T Clark, 2007), co-edited with Drs. Joel Burnett and W. H. Bellinger. He also serves as series editor for The Baylor Handbook on the Hebrew Bible published by Baylor University Press and wrote a volume on the book of Jonah (2018) in that series.
