Biography

Troy Troftgruben is Assistant Professor of New Testament at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He is the author of A Conclusion Unhindered: A Study of the Ending of Acts within its Literary Environment (2010), “Slow Sailing in Acts” (Journal of Biblical Literature, 2017), and a forthcoming book on early Christian community as presented in the New Testament (Church Roots, Fortress Press). An ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, he also contributes often to Augsburg Fortress resources for worship and preaching (Sundays and Seasons: Preaching) and Bible study (Matthew, Books of Faith Series).
