Troy M. Troftgruben is Associate Professor of New Testament and the Wagner Professor in Biblical Theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He is the author of Rooted and Renewing (Fortress Press, 2019) and Bearing Witness in Acts and Today (Cascade Press, 2025) and is presently working on a commentary on Luke’s Gospel (NICNT series). An ordained ELCA pastor, he contributes regularly to Augsburg Fortress’s resource Sundays and Seasons: Preaching.
