Biography

A native of Alexandria, Minnesota, Tim Bauer is the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca, Minnesota, where he has served since 2004. Previously, he served as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, from 1995 to 2004. Prior to that, he served three congregations in Montana between 1985 and 1995, including: American Lutheran Church in Richey, Montana; First Lutheran Church in Lambert, Montana; and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Great Falls, Montana. Bauer has a DMin degree in Biblical Preaching–with an emphasis on using art as a resource for preaching–from Luther Seminary. He also has a BA in philosophy and ancient studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., and an MDiv from Northwestern Theological Seminary in Port Richey, Florida. He is married to Julie (Herman) and they have three children: Austin, Sophie and Lydia.
