Thomas G. Long is the Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. Before going to Emory, he taught preaching at Erskine Theological Seminary, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Princeton Theological Seminary. He has also served as the Director of Geneva Press at Presbyterian Publishing Corporation.

Dr. Long’s main interests in preaching are in the areas of biblical interpretation and homiletical theory. He has published a number of books on preaching, including The Witness of Preaching (Westminster John Knox), Preaching and the Literary Forms of the Bible (Fortress), and two biblical commentaries: Hebrews (John Knox), and Matthew (Westminster John Knox).
