Rodney Caruthers II, PhD (University of Michigan) is Assistant Professor of New Testament at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, TX. He specializes in Second Temple Judaism and Early Christianity. His research interests include ancient education and writing practices, papyrology, Greek and Roman backgrounds to Early Judaism and Christianity, and the role of magic in antiquity.
