Richard A. Jensen was Carlson Professor Emeritus of Homiletics at the Lutheran School of Theology. He died in November 2014. He also served the church teaching systematic theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary. In between those assignments he worked in radio [Lutheran Vespers] and television ministries for the American Lutheran Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. His publications include Envisioning The Word: The Use of Biblical Images in Preaching, (Fortress, 2005) and Preaching Matthew’s Gospel: A Narrative Approach, (CSS, 1998).
