Rebecca Poe Hays is Assistant Professor of Christian Scriptures at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University. 

Her research interests center around the power of story and storytelling to shape beliefs and behavior. She is the author of The Function of Story in the Hebrew Psalter (Lexington/Fortress Academic), as well as a number of articles and chapters exploring how storytelling in the Psalms contributes to the work of trauma healing and resilience building. An ordained Baptist minister, she has served in churches and Christian non-profits in Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas.
