Biography
Rebecca S. Hancock earned her Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Harvard University’s Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Her dissertation on the book of Esther explored the intersection between gender and political authority in the role of female royal counselors. Currently, she is serving as the Associate Dean at the Ecumenical Institute of St. Mary’s Seminary & University in Baltimore, MD where she teaches Scripture in both the School of Theology and the Ecumenical Institute.
