Rachel Thorson Mithelman is Senior Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Des Moines, IA.  She has served both rural and urban congregations in the Midwest.  Her passions include supporting the ministries of Lutheran World Relief and Lutherans Concerned-North America.  The mother of two young adults, she also enjoys gardening, walking and riding her bike on the beautiful Iowa bike trails.
