Biography

Peter Claver Ajer is a Professor of the New Testament at Bexley Seabury Seminary and the author of The Death of Jesus and the Politics of Place in the Gospel of John, Eugene, OR: Pickwick Publications, 2016. His current research and writing cover the Gospel according to John and the letters of Paul, exploring the gathering motif in the
Fourth Gospel and the social construction of space in Paul’s letter to Philemon. He is also the Biblical Reviews Editor for the Anglican Theological Review. Besides the scholarly interpretations, he is particularly interested in how we interpret the New Testament for everyday people.
