Biography
Mark Reasoner was born in Tokyo, Japan, the child of missionaries. He returned to the United States for his college education, graduating in 1982 from Bethel College (now Bethel University) in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1985, and completed his PhD in New Testament and Early Christian Literature at the University of Chicago in 1990. He has taught at Bethel University since 1988. His revised doctoral dissertation was published in 1999 as The Strong and the Weak: Romans 14:1 — 15:13 in Context. In 2005 his book, Romans in Full Circle: A History of Interpretation, appeared. He lives with his wife and children in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.
