Dr. Marion L. Soards, an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), is Professor of New Testament Studies at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Soards has been a Fellow of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, the National Endowment for the Humanities (twice: at Brown University in Providence, R.I., and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, The Catholic Biblical Association of America, and the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation (Germany). He is a frequent lecturer at conferences and schools for pastors throughout the United States and a much sought after guest preacher and teacher. Soards has published dozens of articles, reviews, and sermons in leading theological dictionaries and professional journals worldwide and is the author of twenty-two books.
