Laura Sweat Holmes is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and Professor of New Testament at Wesley Theological Seminary. She is the primary author of John 1-12: A Commentary in the Wesleyan Tradition (2020) and the author of The Theological Role of Paradox in the Gospel of Mark (2013), among other writings.
