John T. Carroll, Professor of New Testament at Union Presbyterian Seminary (Richmond, Virginia), is a founding member of the New Testament Library Editorial Board and served for five years as co-chair of the Gospel of Luke Section for the Society of Biblical Literature. Among the books he has published are Preaching the Hard Sayings of Jesus (Hendrickson, 1996); Luke: A Commentary (New Testament Library, Westminster John Knox, 2012); Jesus and the Gospels: An Introduction (Westminster John Knox, 2016); and The Holy Spirit in the New Testament (Abingdon, 2018).
