Jerusha Matsen Neal is an Assistant Professor of Homiletics at Duke Divinity School. Her book, The Overshadowed Preacher: Spirit and Body in Performance (Wm. B. Eerdmans, forthcoming fall 2020), compares the Spirit’s work in Luke’s nativity texts and the sermons in Acts to describe the labors of those anointed to bear the Word.
