Biography
Janette H. Ok (PhD, Princeton Theological Seminary) is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at Azusa Pacific Seminary (Azusa Pacific University) in Azusa, California.
She is an associate editor of a forthcoming volume called The New Testament in Color: A Multiethnic Commentary on the New Testament (IVP Academic), which will include her commentary on 1 Peter. She is writing a commentary on 1-3 John (NICNT, Eerdmans) and has contributed chapters to Minoritized Women Reading Race and Ethnicity: Intersectional Approaches to Constructed Identity and Early Christian texts (Lexington, 2020), the T&T Clark Handbook of Asian American Biblical Hermeneutics (Bloomsbury, 2019) and Intersecting Realities: Race, Identity, and Culture in the Spiritual-Moral Life of Young Asian Americans (Cascade, 2018). Janette serves as an ordained pastor at Ekko Church in Anaheim, California.
