Jane Lancaster Patterson is Emerita Professor of New Testament, Seminary of the Southwest, Austin Texas; and Co-Director of St. Benedict’s Workshop, a ministry devoted to helping people live their faith in the experiences of daily life. She is the author of Keeping the Feast: Metaphors of Sacrifice in 1 Corinthians and Philippians (SBL Press, 2015), and a contributor to Calling All Years Good: Vocation Throughout Life’s Seasons (Eerdmans, 2017) and Scriptures, Texts, and Tracings in 2 Corinthians and Philippians (Fortress, 2022). An ordained priest in the Episcopal Church, she lives in Los Angeles.
