The Rev. Jane Lancaster Patterson, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of New Testament at Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas. She is the author of Keeping the Feast: Metaphors of Sacrifice in 1 Corinthians and Philippians and a contributor to Calling All Years Good: Christian Vocation Throughout Life’s Seasons. She serves as Associate Project Director for the Called to Lives of Meaning and Purpose Initiative of the Lilly Endowment, Inc., and focuses much of her research on the intersection of biblical studies and the practical issues of Christians living into their callings in daily life.
