Biography

Gordon is Professor of Reformation History and Theology and the Dean of Studies at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon. He served as a parish pastor for 14 years prior to teaching. His primary research interests are Luther’s theology of the cross and its implications for parish ministry, Luther’s Catechisms, and the ecumenical implications of the 1536 Wittenberg Concord. He is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and serves as the official ELCIC observer on the United Church of Canada-United Church of Canada dialogues.
