Eric Mathis is Assistant Professor of Music and Worship at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., where he is also director of anima: the Forum for Worship and the Arts. He holds degrees in music and theology, the most recent of which is a Ph.D. in Theology (Christian Worship and Preaching) from Fuller Theological Seminary.
