Biography

David A. deSilva (Ph.D., Emory University, 1995) is Trustees’ Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Greek at Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio and holds ordination in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.  He is the author of thirty books, including Perseverance in Gratitude: A Commentary on the Epistle “to the Hebrews” (Eerdmans, 2000), Hebrews: Grace and Gratitude (Abingdon, 2020), An Introduction to the New Testament: Contexts, Methods & Ministry Formation (rev. ed., InterVarsity, 2018), Introducing the Apocrypha (rev. ed., Baker Academic, 2018), A Week in the Life of Ephesus (InterVarsity, 2020), and Discovering Revelation: Content, Interpretation, Reception (Eerdmans, 2021).
