Rev. Collette Broady Grund is one of the pastors at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minn., where she also directs Connections Ministry, an ecumenical partnership that offers a seasonal shelter for those experiencing homelessness.

She shares a home with her second husband Marrett (yes, their first names rhyme), 5 children between the ages of 1 and 17, and an excitable 90-pound dog. Through divorce, she discovered that God is at work in our most broken times, and that congregations are sometimes the voice of God to their pastors.
