Biography
An ordained elder of The United Methodist Church, Clifton Black is the Otto A. Piper Emeritus Professor of Biblical Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary. His many books include Mark: Abingdon New Testament Commentaries (Abingdon, 2011), The Lord’s Prayer: Interpretation: Resources for the Use of Scripture in the Church (Westminster John Knox, 2018), A Three-Dimensional Jesus: An Introduction to the Synoptic Gospels (Westminster John Knox, 2023), Mark’s Gospel: History, Theology, Interpretation (Eerdmans, 2023), and Biblical Theology: Essays Exegetical, Cultural, and Homiletical (Eerdmans 2024).
