Biography

Adam P. White is Lead Pastor of Normandale Lutheran Church in Edina, Minnesota, and Visiting Instructor of Homiletics at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, where he has taught since 2018. An ordained pastor in the ELCA, Adam is a preacher and teacher shaped by both congregational ministry and the classroom. His work focuses on forming preachers who are theologically grounded, contextually attentive, and ethically engaged in the practice of proclamation.

Previously, Adam served for more than a decade as campus pastor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he worked extensively with student lay preachers. At Luther Seminary, he teaches Introduction to Preaching, leads preaching labs for Foundations of Preaching, and serves on the leadership team for Luther’s Compelling Preaching Grant. He is the author of Telling the Truth: An Ethical Exploration of Verification and Falsification in Pulpit Storytelling and editor of Dispatches from Campus: Insights from College Ministry for the Broader Church.
