Biography

A. K. M. Adam is Tutor in New Testament at St Stephen’s House, Oxford University, and Non-Stipendiary Lecturer in New Testament at Oriel College, Oxford. He has written and edited numerous books and articles, including most recently a commentary, James: A Handbook on the Greek Text; in other work, particularly in the essays of Faithful Interpretation, he explores questions of how conflicting interpretations are legitimated. He has taught at the University of Glasgow, Duke University, Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Eckerd College, and he has served congregations in Tampa, Princeton, Evanston, and Glasgow.
