Discussion Questions for Lent 2

  1. How would explain baptism using language other than that which is traditional or school-taught? (John 3)
  2. What do you mean or hope for when you ask God to bless someone? (Gen 12:1-4) 
  3. In a world where there is turmoil, violence, threats, and uncertainty, what do you expect of God? (Ps 121) 
  4. In what ways has God uniquely equipped or positioned you to share your faith with others? (Rom 4:1-5)

These questions are intended to stimulate conversation on the Revised Common Lectionary texts for the coming week. They are designed to be accessible to individuals and groups (and not limited to preachers) who are reading the lectionary texts in advance of worship.
