The Rev. Dr. Heather Roth Johnson has been in ministry for 25 years, serving in a variety of capacities as a Kid Ministry Director, Youth Minister, a missionary in Madagascar, and, since 2018, a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Currently, she serves as the Pastor of Faith Formation at Bethlehem Lutheran Church – Twin Cities in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Heather received her Doctor of Ministry from Portland Seminary in May 2026, and, excitingly, her dissertation has been published as a book titled Wiggles, Giggles, and Pokes: Kids in Worship, A Church Leader’s Edition. She also blogs at storyboardingchurch.com. Heather enjoys biking, hiking, playing with the dogs, and teaching children about God’s love, and being creative.
