Arthur M. Wright, Jr. is Senior Pastor of Williamsburg Baptist Church in historic Williamsburg, VA. He previously served as Associate Professor of Spirituality and New Testament at the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. His research explores on the ways in which New Testament texts engage with the Roman imperial world. He is the author of The Governor and the King: Irony, Hidden Transcripts, and Negotiating Empire in the Fourth Gospel (Pickwick, 2019), as well as several scholarly articles.
