Kelly Sherman-Conroy is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. She is a theologian, storyteller, poet, pastor, and professor whose work brings Lakota wisdom and Christian theology into conversation, with particular attention to Spiritual Sovereignty, healing, story, and communal responsibility.

She earned her Ph.D. in systematic theology from Luther Seminary and is the first Native woman in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to earn a Ph.D. in theology. She serves as Associate Pastor of All Nations Indian Church in Minneapolis, Visiting Assistant Professor of Religion at St. Olaf College, and adjunct faculty at Augsburg University.
