Mount Pleasant, Mich.
The Rev. Dana Hendershot graduated from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (2008) with a Master of Divinity and an emphasis in science and religion. She was ordained on June 29, 2008, and her first call was to Christus Victor Lutheran Church in North Naples, Florida. In Florida, she learned of her love for advocacy and spent her spare time working alongside the Coalition of Immokalee Workers.
In 2011, Hendershot accepted a call to Immanuel Lutheran in Mount Pleasant, Mich. In this call she has spent a great deal of time advocating for the homeless and have helped to form Mount Pleasant’s first rotating homeless shelter where she serve as the board president. In 2015, she accepted a position on the board for the Lutheran Alliance for Faith, Science, and Technology.
In her spare time she is often found on, in, or under the water. She has two cockatiel birds, a Brittney Spaniel, and at night love to be outside with her telescope looking with awe and wonder at God’s universe.
