Carolyn J. Sharp is Professor of Hebrew Scriptures at Yale Divinity School. She has written on Jeremiah (Prophecy and Ideology in Jeremiah, 2003), on the interpretation of irony in biblical texts (Irony and Meaning in the Hebrew Bible, 2009), and on reclaiming the Old Testament in today's church (Old Testament Prophets for Today, 2010, and Wrestling the Word: The Hebrew Scriptures and the Christian Believer, 2010). The Rev. Dr. Sharp is active in the Episcopal Church, preaching and leading parish study groups on biblical theology.
