An ordained elder of The United Methodist Church, Clifton Black is the Otto A. Piper Professor of Biblical Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary. His most recent books include the Abingdon New Testament Commentaries: Mark (Abingdon, 2011), Anatomy of the New Testament: A Guide to Its Structure and Meaning (with Robert Spivey and Moody Smith; 7th ed., Fortress, 2013), and Reading Scripture with the Saints (Cascade, 2014). He is currently writing a commentary on the Lord’s Prayer for Westminster John Knox Press.
