Preaching and Teaching to a New Generation
11/9/2009 - 11/11/2009
Luther Seminary - St. Paul, MN
This course will take seriously the changing landscapes of the 21st century US, particularly those changes that come with digital media and postmodern thinking. We'll explore questions like: How does what I do theologically relate to what my parishioners are doing in their daily lives? How do I make sense of faith in what's going on in the cultures around me? How can and should my own faith ground me in preaching and teaching with people from younger generations? We'll also explore a variety of simple ways to stay in touch with various cultural contexts, including blogs, podcasts and digital video.
This course is underwritten by the Julius Quello preaching fund.
