Preparing a sermon is one of the most important aspects of pastoral ministry and yet finding time for sermon writing often becomes one of the greatest challenges in ministry. This seminar will focus on the basics of sermon preparation and how to make the most of one's time in crafting a weekly message. For pastors who are new to the ministry or for those who are looking for a preaching refresher, practical resources will be provided on meaningful Biblical study, lectionary and illustration tools, and time management, including a popular workshop entitled, "The 8-Hour Sermon."
